Human Osteopathy
Osteopaths use a variety of techniques to treat common complaints from patients, including neck pain, joint pain, and more.
What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a holistic system of medicines that embrace all elements of the being: internal and external. Osteopathic treatment itself, utilises the body’s natural healing mechanisms and through the musculoskeletal, neurological and cardiovascular systems, implements techniques that aid recovery and improvement of overall function and health.
Please note: All Osteopaths are regulated by the General Osteopathic Council.
Osteopathy Assessment and Treatment
Assessment is as important as treatment to the osteopath, because it is through the process of assessment (and process of elimination) that we evaluate the health and wellness of any given individual.
It is through in-depth investigation and questioning that the osteopath reaches a list of differential diagnoses, which typically range from musculoskeletal in origin through to pathological. It is with these hypotheses in mind, that the osteopath refers (if required) or develops a treatment and management plan suited to the individual and the most likely cause of dis-ease.
Outcomes are carefully assessed each visit and modifications are made where necessary.
