MSc Animal Osteopathy

BSc (Hons) Osteopathy

In 2002, after qualifying from the British School of Osteopathy (BSO) with a BSc (Hons) Ost, Faye set up Bodywise Osteopathy. In 2007, she returned to the BSO to teach osteopathic technique to students. Faye has since completed an MSc in Animal Osteopathy at the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in 2018 – and holds one of the only MSc Animal Osteopathy qualifications to exist in the UK.

Faye expanded her teaching skills in 2016 to teach Animal Osteopathy and is currently part of the teaching team with Animal Osteopathy International.

In 2021, Faye left the University College of Osteopathy (formerly the BSO) and joined the osteopathic teaching team at NESCOT as head of year 2, and began writing for the UK’s only West Highland White Terrier magazine (Westies & Besties) in 2021.

With her background in international sport and keen interest in rehabilitation for both humans and animals – she has 3 Westies, 2 Cocker Spaniels, and a Heinz 57 rescue - Faye is able to share years of experience in the field of post operative care, which can cross over between animal and humans. Most recently, Faye has taken on the role of in-house Osteopath and exercise trainer for a local flyball team.

Faye has also started working with a Team GB Agility athlete and her dogs.

  • ‘Faye is an absolute marvel! She gave our old mastiff-X a new lease of life and her dignity back after Ruby had lost all control of her bladder… Continues to keep our ancient cat strong & sprightly/almost completely stopped her sleepy leaking... Keeps our young cat’s issues at bay… Faye even fixed our old hen when she‘d put her wing out - a definite life saver!

I’m also benefiting from treatment too! She is an intuitive and very effective osteo.  The fact that she comes out to the house is an absolute game changer. All in all, I can’t recommend Faye highly enough!’ - Julia, Guildford

  • ‘I have been seeing Faye for a few years about a long-term neck issue, started many years ago by a whiplash injury. Fortnightly visits to Faye ensures that my neck remains mobile and pain free. Faye also deals with any other issues that arise, such as back pain or hip stiffness. I find both immediate and longer term relief from pain and stiffness after a visit to Faye. She is professional at all times, as well as effective in her treatments. I would not hesitate to recommend Faye.’ – Lucy, Kingston

  • ‘I have quite a physical job as a dog walker and dog trainer.  I called Faye in to help me with some lower back issues as I thought!  After the first session, I felt compelled to call her to say thanks, I could actually use both of my shoulders independently, that hadn't happened in quite some time.  We had some follow up sessions and everything is working properly.

Recently my mum came over to spend some time with me, she had bad spasms in her hamstring..... enter Faye to the rescue..... two sessions later it was all sorted.  I was especially thankful as Faye managed to fit her into her schedule as she was only here for a short time.

Finally, I am Team Captain for Womballs Flyball Team, we are very lucky to have Faye as our team osteo, we adore our dogs and the work that she does with team dogs individually is outstanding. She has spent time understanding our sport and as a consequence we have happy and fit club dogs.

I highly recommend Faye, not only is she fab at her job, she explains everything (important to my mum!) and is really practical and personal. Thank you, Faye!’ - Lorraine, Worcester Park

  • ‘I thought it was about time I showed my appreciation for all the help you have and are still providing for Fynn. I would like to say your professionalism, deep knowledge and understanding of dogs and animal Osteopathy Has helped Fynn and I in so many ways.

You have enabled a very young Fynn (just 6 years old) suffering dysplasia of all four limbs and Chronic Arthritis to have the best life, thanks to you he is still very active, enjoy x2 walks a day anything from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours, meeting and greeting his friends and chasing squirrels.

Your kindness and willingness to share the best food, dietary and supplements advice for Fynn has enabled me to give him near toxic free medication. Thank you for going above and beyond of what I expected. We both know how much Fynn enjoys your massage. Thank you!’ - Brenda (and Fynn), Cheam

  • ‘My wife has been a patient of Faye Andrews since 2014 on the recommendation of her Pilates teacher, when she suffered a disc bulge which resulted in extreme pain.  I followed her in mid-2017 for some help with my rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and Faye very quickly assessed that my hip was failing. By April 2018 I had undergone a full hip replacement.

Both my wife and I enjoy the benefit of Faye’s professionalism which she manages to combine with a genuine warmth and friendliness.  These qualities I consider to be especially important since when you first visit an Osteopath, you are likely, as I was, to be in pain and also wary of what might be in store.  Faye’s supreme competence allowed me to feel calm, reassured and in good hands which has continued with her excellent management of my RA.

Having been declared extremely vulnerable during the worst of the pandemic, Faye began coming to our house and this has continued to date with us both looking forward to our appointments with her. Can’t recommend Faye highly enough.’ - John and Jackie, New Malden

  • ‘Faye Andrews has been managing my back condition since 2003. She not only provides regular treatment but also advises on desk set up, exercise routines etc. I would recommend Faye to anyone! Some osteopaths charge a fortune and deliver little, but Faye makes a real difference!’ - Anne, Sutton

  • ‘So I came to Faye having received Chiro which I wasn’t pleased with. Faye quickly picked up on the underlining problems that I had been suffering with. Faye has relieved my ongoing neck pain and lower back issues greatly. I see Faye every couple of weeks and wouldn’t go anywhere else now.

I feel I’m in safe and very capable hands and Faye is such a lovely person and highly professional. She really is making a difference to my life, health and wellbeing. Can’t thank you enough.’ – Maxine, Cheam
